With his tight leather pants and a sharp edge that makes him dangerous, Jet Keller is every girl’s rock and roll fantasy. But Ayden Cross is done walking on the wild side with bad boys. She doesn’t want to give in to the heat she sees in Jet’s dark, haunted eyes. She’s afraid of getting burned from the sparks of their spontaneous combustion, even as his touch sets her on fire.

Jet can’t resist the Southern Belle with mile-long legs in cowboy boots who defies his every expectation. Yet the closer he feels to Ayden, the less he seems to know her. While he’s tempted to get under her skin and undo her in every way, he knows firsthand what happens to two people with very different ideas about relationships.

Will the blaze burn into an enduring love. . . or will it consume their dreams and turn them to ashes?

Jet is the 2nd book for Jay Crownover's Marked Men Series, so I strongly suggest reading Rule, before you start this one. Review for Rule, here.
Jet Keller was all kinds of temptation wrapped up in too-tight pants and with too many personal demons hidden in those dark, golden-rimmed eyes. He was every girl's rock-and-roll fantasy, with an edge that made him just sharp enough to be hard to handle. And boy, oh boy, did I want to handle him in every way possible.
Ayden couldn't have said it better, that's exactly what Jet Keller was.
Ayden Cross was a puzzle that, every time I thought I was close to solving, proved to have five extra pieces and no corners. For a long time, I thought she was a Southern belle, complete with mile-long legs in cowboy boots, but then she would turn around and do something that knocked me on my ass.
I had a feeling I didn't know the real Ayden at all ...
Jet Keller, you sir, are correct.

Their story begin after Ayden got brave and propositioned Jet after his show.  There's more than meets the eye with Ayden, leaving her hometown Woodward, Kentucky to live a completely different life. Born from a teenager mother at the time, a father who was MIA, and an older brother with "forever looking for trouble" as his middle name. Ayden was heading down the wrong path when she was younger, but a teacher helped her see a new one; a better one. Now things are good, currently in college as a chemistry major, getting good friends, surrounded by amazing friends, and a choking attraction for Jet.

When Ayden tries to proposition Jet, he just claims that she's "just a good girl all around". Being the man-whore that he is, he turns her down, surprise-surprise. And we can assume that he cares about her, THAT is obvious, my friend. I must say I was thoroughly surprised with Jet's reactions towards her for being such a ladies man that he is. They both have demons and are doing the best they can to keep them at bay, but little do they know, that if they were to just be honest with each other, they wouldn't have to keep fighting the constant draw towards each and give in! That would have definitely solved the problem, instead of dragging it out forever.

I can't even begin to tell you about the amount of frustration I had through this ENTIRE book, I was pretty much screaming at the book and saying, "you're so dumb, just tell him!" ... & vice versa ...

Aside from my constant frustration with the both of them, I think I loved their story a lot more than Rule's. I loved Rule and Shaw's story, but Jet & Ayden are my top fave! So, it's safe to say that I'm a fan of the Marked Men Series, and next up will be Rome & Cora's story ... I'm so excited!
